• To secure uniformity throughout India in all matters connected with Racing and Breeding of Horse.
• To prepare and maintain a Stud Book of Thoroughbred Indian Horses.
• To endeavor by means of magazines, pamphlets, periodicals or other publications, and by means of lectures and various other ways to make known to the general Public, the value and importance of the horse, pony and mule breeding industries from the economic, Public Health, agricultural, internal security, military and other points of view.
• To undertake finance, support, or otherwise encourage veterinary research, and to publish the results of such research, or finance any other person or institution to do so, in order to spread knowledge of advances made in the Science of Breeding.
• To conduct and maintain a laboratory or other institution for the purpose of research or for assistance to Breeders and the improvement of breeding methods.
• To purchase mares and stallions and other animals for the purpose of breeding horses, ponies, mules, or for the purpose of leasing such animals on suitable terms to individual Breeders or to Stud Farms, or for the purpose of conducting or supporting Veterinary research.
• To conduct and maintain a Stud Farm or Stud Farms for the purpose of breeding horses, ponies, mules and/or for the purpose of carrying on or fostering research.
• To obtain or accept subscriptions, donations, grants, gifts, devises, bequests and trusts from any person, firm, corporation or institution.
• To accept and receive in any manner whatever any cash or immovable or movable property either unconditionally or subject to any special trusts created by any particular donor in furtherance of any one or more of the objects of the Society.
• To acquire by gift, purchase, exchange, lease, on hire or otherwise howsoever any lands, buildings, easements, and any property movable and/or immovable for the furtherance of all or any of the objects of the Society.
• To build, construct and maintain houses or other buildings and alter, extend, improve, repair, enlarge or modify the same including any existing buildings and to provide and equip the same with light, water, drainage, furniture, fittings, instruments, apparatus and appliances and all other necessaries for the use to which each building is to be put up or held.
• To construct or otherwise acquire, lay out, repairs extend, alter, enlarge, improve and use any land, and/or any other immovable property belonging to or held by the Society.
• To sell, manage, transfer, exchange, mortgage, demise, dispose of or otherwise deal with any property whatever belonging to the Society.
• To borrow and raise moneys with or without security or on the security of a Mortgage, Charge, or Hypothecation or Pledge over all or any of the immovable or movable properties belonging to the Society or in any other manner whatever.
• To draw, make accept, discount, endorse, execute and issue Cheques, bills of exchange, promissory notes, bills of landing, warrants, debentures and other negotiable or transferable instruments or securities.
• To pay out of the Funds belonging to the Society or out of any particular part of such funds, all expenses of or incidental to the formation, management and administration of the Society and achievements of its objects, including all rents, rates, taxes, outgoings and salaries of employees.
• To invest and deal with any money of the Society in such manner as may be provided by the Constitution of the Society and as may from time to time be determined.
• For the purposes aforesaid to sign, execute and deliver such assurances and deeds as may be necessary.
• To print, publish and exhibit any books, pamphlets, magazines, periodicals, bulletins or posters that may be considered desirable for the promotion of the objects of the Society.
• To make representations and petitions on behalf of the Society to the Government of India and to any State Government and other authorities, Departments, Commissions etc., in all matters connected with the Society and its objects.
• To hold Shows of horses, ponies, mules and to offer prizes and premiums at such Shows or at the Shows of any other Society or Local Horse Show body.
• To secure uniformity throughout India in all matters connected with Horse Shows.
• To advise and assist Horse Show Committees in regard to the organization and management of Horse Shows, and in the appointment of Judges |
